About Us
Jenn has loved plants since she was little, making dandelion topped mudpies till the crickets called her home on summer evenings. Every year her family grew tulips and tomatoes in a little garden, and she admired the tiger lilies that grew along the porch, and the wild roses that crawled up a telephone pole in her front yard. Much happened to lead her away from the land as societal expectations had a way of creeping in. Eventually she found her way back!

Jenn’s transition to farming began in the small town of Emmaus, PA in the spring of 2017, when she was finally fed up with working inside all day and no longer wanted to be a cosmetologist. This farm provided her with the opportunity to grow and harvest while also working at farmers markets in Staten Island ( that meant being at the farm at 4am every Saturday!) This pushed her out of her shell. The following summer she began working for her neighbors small farm, when their season was done she went to work for their friends who owned an organic farm as well, but needed Jenn to help with their first year of growing CBD hemp, she went back the following year when they expanded from one acre to seven, and so she became well known in the community and with a good reputation always had a new opportunity. After that she moved to Philly, signing her lease one week before the lockdown! It was a change of pace but something was still missing and in 2021 she packed her bags and a car full of plants to follow her heart, Arizona was calling. She enrolled in SWIHA’s Western Herbalism program as she prepared for her move and began classes immediately upon arriving in the desert, graduating, and starting her business in the winter of 2023.

Her goal with the business is to bring the medicine back to the people and be a warrior to protect the plants and their sacred knowledge. She hopes to educate the community on healing plants and how they can help themselves in a world where medical access has become unobtainable for many. Food and nutrition are the first step in this which is why growing healthy foods is so important.

Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Chance was a bright, fun loving kid, that questioned everything and loved to push the limits in a creative and inventive way. He began his relationship with plants when he was 20 as a hobbyist Medicinal Marijuana (M.M.J.) cultivator. During this time he was also interning for a veganic farmer, soaking in knowledge, and honing his skills as a horticulturist, while working for large retailers, but knowing he wanted more out of life. He then made a hard switch to become an intern for Tranzbyte, not knowing this would bring him closer to his passion. One of the companies managed by Tranzbyte was Altitude Organic Medicine. They were a dispensary management company; the first M.M.J to be publicly traded. They met Chance and immediately recruited him to exclusively work with them. This altered his life path and for the next 3 years Chance learned in commercial M.M.J facilities in CA, CO, and AZ. Here he helped run test studies on new products such as lighting technology, humic ore compounds and unique organic fermented plant fertilizers with a soil scientist. Chance was able to expand his knowledge even farther by working at hydroponic stores and consulting for a variety of AZ cultivators. While he was consulting and managing one of the highest performing hydroponic stores at the time he learned many different cultivation techniques and styles. Chance had an inside scoop on how the products were made in the commercial horticulture industry from nutrients, environmental controls, hydro systems, growing media, & lighting etc.

By 22 Chance became an assistant manager of a 70K sq ft M.M.J facility, and then single handedly running a small 10k sq ft cultivation. At the age of 26 and the height of his career Chance had to make the tough decision to step away from his passion of growing as his family needed him and took a pause from cultivation to care for his grandmother and father. Being away from the plants left an absence in his heart. Chance needed time to care for himself after caring for others and experiencing loss. When he was 33, he was finally ready to return to cultivation. Chance started working for Tiger Mountain Foundation in 2022 where his knowledge was quickly seen, and he became a garden lead across their 4 gardens and their go to irrigation specialist.

In November of 2023 Jenn came to work for Tiger Mountain Foundation and with her previous experience became the Market & Harvest lead by January, it was around this time that Chance and Jenn began to work and hike together, Jenn wanted to branch out of markets and back into farming, and always being eager to learn new things began to help with irrigation. They fell in love while thinning golden boy beets and planting pusa asista carrots, while sharing their passions and dreams. When Jenn learned of Chance's experience growing cannabis, she knew she wanted his help applying that knowledge to grow high quality and high potency herbs. They both have a love for rare strains and are excited to bring that into their business. In February of 2023 she founded Savage Souls Botaniks. Chance having been an entrepreneur himself and knowing how to cultivate the highest quality plants helped Jenn to sharpen her business and growing skills. Chance manages the cultivation and horticulture side of Savage Souls. Together they grow medicinal herbs, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and microgreens both at their plot at Spaces of Opportunity and in an indoor hydroponic setup. Together they dream of traveling with their own non-profits to heal and feed the souls of this world, savagely!

Practices
We follow organic/ naturally grown practices everything but aren’t certified. We use is OMRI-rated / no chemicals in the hydro system including molasses, Epsom salts and compost teas as food / nutrients. The salts are sustainably sourced, and harvested organic Dead Sea salt.

For our micronutrient mix, everything else Is either from True Organics (OMR rated), or a blend of our own or OMRI-rated chicken manure, sea kelp and fish

Most hydroponic reservoirs in a traditional sense are changed every 7 to 10 days. However we aim to basically create a liquid soil for our leafy greens, and so we basically brew true living organic compost teas every 24 to 36 hours and are switching out our Reservoir every 3 to 4 days.
